Mr. Murphy has over 35 years in business development and operations management for companies such as Gateway Computers, Tuff Shed, Owens Corning, and Sears. He has provided HR Recruiting and Staffing management for companies like True Blue, Volt, and Tradesmen International. He is responsible for the day to day operations and management of VNA and developed the programs and guidelines used to operate the agency. Mr. Murphy developed the overall idea of VNA, and hand-selected the executive team. He currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA. Mr. Murphy is active in the local recovery community and participates in various volunteering and service opportunities, including as the Co-Founder of the JJEM Foundation, founded after his daughter Jillian died tragically and unexpectedly in 2020.
Mr. Sterling comes to VNA with over 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry, primarily in Business Development, Event Planning, and Fundraising. It is in this area of expertise that he will support VNA; procuring a wide range of public and private support for the long-term success of the organization. He's held numerous positions with companies such as; Leow's, Four Seasons, Kimpton and Town & Country Event Rentals. Mr. Sterling served on the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara Alano Club from 2014-2016. He has been immersed in the Santa Barbara Recovery Community for 20+ years, and has resided in Santa Barbara since 1980.
Ms. Murphy has worked in the Accounting field for over 25 years, having held positions at organizations including Kinkos and Bank of America, serving as as Accounting Specialist, Coordinator, and Staff Accountant. She currently resides in Camarillo, CA where she enjoys volunteering for various organizations, and is the co-founder of The JJEM Foundation.
